Planned Maintenance

We offer planned maintenance services, performed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and tailored to your specific needs, to help your system operate at peak performance. Every visit includes a full report showing evidence of work completed and test results highlighting any detected defects. Our factory-trained, certified technicians carry out extensive maintenance across diesel and gas-powered systems, with equal expertise in electrical and mechanical disciplines.

Load Bank Testing

Load bank testing prolongs the life of your power equipment and reduces the risk of unnecessary engine or generator failure. It tests the engine's ability to produce kW and the generator's ability to produce kVA, confirming your system can reach full load and stay there without overheating or shutting down. We also evaluate critical specs like oil and fuel pressure to confirm the engine is properly lubricated and fueled. Results are documented with any recommended repairs and added to your service history, keeping you ready for NFPA compliance and building inspections.

Every Ironclad service plan is built around your equipment and your calendar — monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual visits, fully customizable to suit your needs. Our ProAction plans follow a comprehensive 25-point checklist and help keep your system aligned with NFPA compliance requirements.

ProAction Service Plans

ProAction 25-Point Checklist

General:

  • Check the proper operation of exhaust louvers
  • Examine flex connector for cracks and stress
  • Check exhaust connections and torque if required
  • Examine fuel system checking for leaks, line wear, gauge operation
  • Check all relays, meters / gauges, fuses, alarms and all electrical connections inside the control panel, genset, ATS & vents
  • Check battery terminal, condition (specific gravity) & load test
  • Clean batteries & spray posts with battery sealant
  • Check for proper operation of battery charger

Engine:

  • Change the lube and lube filter
  • Change fuel filter(s)
  • Check air filter for replacement (if required an extra)
  • Check coolant level, antifreeze strength, change coolant as required and change coolant filter (where applicable)
  • Check radiator condition
  • Check block heater connection, and operation to ensure efficiency
  • Check all hoses, and belts for signs of wear
  • Check engine alternator's charging voltage, and general condition
  • Test the starting of the engine
  • Check bolts for tightness (torque if necessary)
  • Remove lube oil & antifreeze from site

Generator:

  • Examine general condition of generator
  • Check stator lead connections & connections at the breaker
  • Check connections & condition of rotating diodes
  • Check for voltage drop and adjust regulator

Transfer Switch:

  • Check & tighten all connections, inspect all voltage sensors, timers & relays for failure and contact wear
  • Test transfer switch action and condition
